I haven’t really been silent about these tragedies, and the overall epidemic that is gun violence in America. But this morning I have to give and interview, and then interview someone myself for the podcast, and I don’t see how I can go on the air without addressing these events. Read MoreI am not being intentional with my time. I am too distracted. It is time for me to become “Indistractable” What I do, I want to do with intent. I want to be more aware of the “rings, dings, and things” that are distracting me from my intent, and I want to focus on what I need to focus on at the time I need to focus on it.
Read MoreWhen you ask me how the podcast is doing, I can proudly explain we’re one of the top podcasts in education, and we travel all over now speaking to educators and sharing their stories, and I may even let slip a few of the awesome projects we are working on. If you only slightly knew me, or were meeting me for the first time and asked me about the podcast you may think I am bragging. Read MoreThis is a series of posts about my educational hero’s. This small group of people have had a HUGE impact on my life. The criteria to make it to this list is simple: Would I be doing what I am doing now, without them? If the answer is no, they’re on this list. I can also clearly explain WHY I wouldn’t be doing what I am doing now without them, which is important when you’re writing a blog post, they say… I also have EVIDENCE for most of them, which is amazing. Read MoreScratch is my “first love” in the coding and STEM space. It became a HUGE component of my teaching and I’m not sure I would be doing a lot of what I am doing now with it frankly.
